ILVO, the Flemish Institute for agricultural and fisheries research, the University of Gent and LEI Wageningen UR organised a PhD Winter School titled 'An institutional approach to the analysis of systems, system change and transition in natural resources'. The 'slow talk conference' took place in Vaalbeek, near Leuven, on February 1-4 with 21 students participating. Krijn Poppe gave a key note presentation with an overview of the transition theory, based on the book published last year by Wageningen Academic Publishers. Jim Woodhill (Centre for Development Innovation) gave a similar presentation on multi-stakeholder processes.
